Personal use and possession of psilocybin mushrooms has become a low priority for Denver law enforcement.
The ballot initiative, known as Initiated Ordinance 301 (I-301), did not legalize psilocybin mushrooms (aka “magic mushrooms”), it only reduced (deprioritized) the enforcement of existing laws. The initiative passed by a narrow margin of 89,320 votes (50.56%) for the ordinance and 87,341 votes (49.44%) cast against.
