US FDA Bans Testing With Psilocybin and Psilocin

FDA bans the use of psilocybin and psilocin in human, in vitro, and animal testing.

The FDA bans the use of DMT, LSD, mescaline and its salts, psilocybin, and psilocin in 1) clinical testing in man, 2) in vitro lab testing, and 3) clinical investigations in animals until approved by the Commissioner. Also requires review of “the qualifications and facilities of the investigator and the source and shipper of the drug.”
