Cary Turnbull is vice president of the Heffter Research Institute. Previously, he was Global Chairman of inter-dealer energy market derivative and futures broker Amerex which he co-founded in 1983. The North American operations or Amerex were sold in 2006 and became the energy brokerage division of NYSE listed GFI Group (www.amerexenergy.com). Carey is a co-founder and Chairman of North American Power and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at Goddard College. He also serves as Development Director for the New York University School of Medicine Psychiatry Department’s palliative care Cancer Anxiety Study.
