Human Brain Visualized Under the Influence of LSD

For the first time, researchers see the human brain under the influence of LSD using various state-of-the-art neuroimaging techniques.

Using cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques, scientists observed the human brain under the influence of LSD for the first time. They noted greatly increased activity in the primary visual cortex which strongly correlated with the subject’s visual hallucinations. They saw decreased connectivity between those areas in the brain responsible for ‘ego dissolution’ and ‘altered meaning.’
