Japan Outlaws Psilocybin Mushrooms

Japanese government makes it illegal to use, produce, traffic, grow, and/or possess psilocybin mushrooms.

Japan’s Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry adds psilocybin mushrooms to their Narcotic and Psychotropic Drug Laws making the use, production, trafficking, growing, and possession illegal. This law may have been passed in preparation for the World Cup.
