Taschauna A. Richards, MS, RMHCI

Native New Yorker Taschauna Richards is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern currently residing in South Florida. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. 

Knowing first-hand how difficult all aspects of life can become when living with and trying to manage mental illness, Taschauna decided to pursue a career in counseling to support others in turning their obstacles and challenges into opportunities for change and growth. Aligning with an existential-humanistic approach to treatment and in life, she believes the most important thing is your progression to developing awareness, resolving any anxieties or concerns, reaching your most authentic self, and finding your purpose. Taschauna has experience providing clinical counseling services utilizing other treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-focused therapy, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and psychedelic integration and coaching to treat those with co-occurring disorders and other mental health concerns.

Taschauna is passionate and driven to make mental health care accessible to all in need, particularly for those of marginalized communities and the oppressed. In her free time, she enjoys immersing herself in the arts: writing, drawing, visiting museums, attending concerts, reading fantasy novels and classic literature, and loves psychological thriller films.
