Chinese researchers are the first to isolate 10 chemicals from Psilocybe merdaria using 1D and 2D NMR including 2 new ones: 11,14-dihydroxylneoechinulin E and (S)-4-(4-methylpent-3-en-1-yl)-butyrolactone. Seven of the chemicals showed inhibitory activity against acetylcholinesterase.
