1997

Chemist Alexander Shulgin and his wife Ann published “TiHKAL: The Continuation” in 1996. TiHKAL is short for “Tryptamines I Have Known and Loved.” The first part of the book is a fictionalized autobiography of the couple which picks up where it left off in PiHKAL. The second part includes detailed information on 55 psychoactive tryptamine compounds (most of which Dr. Shulgin discovered) including instructions on their synthesis, dosages, and bioassays.
